Flaunt Your Support for the Lemon-Aid Project When You Attend This Cookbook Launch Party
In honor of the 25th anniversary of The Lemon-Aid Project, the group is publishing a new cookbook that will include lemon and lemonade-inspired recipes from culinary experts and enthusiasts from Tulsa and beyond. Be there when The Lemon-Aid Project unveils the Lemon-Aid cookbook on Saturday, July 20th at Mother Road Market!
The Lemon-Aid Project is a California non-profit with IRS 501(c)(3) approval submitted and pending that creates fun and engaging community activities for all ages while raising funds and awareness for children- and family-related charities within the community.
Lemon-Aid originated in 1994 as a Labor Day Weekend city-wide fundraiser in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where kids across the city donated their time to sell lemonade to raise money for the children and families at the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless. Over the course of 7 Labor Day Weekends and with the help of more than 10,000 youth volunteers, Lemon-Aid raised more than $350,000.
Mother Road Market will host the launch of the cookbook. There, you’ll be able to attend a Q&A with some of the contributors and get your hands on a copy of the book. Thanks to the support of Dave and Susie Hentschel, a majority of proceeds will be going directly to the The Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless. Check it out July 20th beginning at 1:00 p.m.!
It’s always fun to experience something new! At the Clairemont Park Apartments in Tulsa, Oklahoma, we love to keep you up-to-date about exciting events happening in the neighborhood and greater community. We hope you make plans to attend this event today!
